Project Description
A newly purchased, recently built property needing the finishing touches of landscaping. Originally the property had no fence and the clients required privacy and security. Sculptural landscapes were able to provide this without obstructing the main views toward the Southern Alps and Pegasus Bay to the Kaikoura Ranges. An automatic gate was installed for ease of access, the challenge was to have it operating as a sliding gate, back to one side, on a cross sloping driveway. The rendered concrete block fence was broken up with powder coated aluminium louvres. The fence acted as a retaining wall to lift the lower section of the lawn up creating the illusion of a much lower fence from the inside and a flatter lawn.
