Project Description
The front garden was stage one of a two part project. Sculptural Landscapes added new retaining walls, exposed aggregate pathways and steps, lawn area and perimeter barriers and gates to allow for children’s free play in a safe area.
The rear garden stage two was a huge project that was to replace an earthquake damaged timber retaining wall of 2.4m height. Also to incorporate in the works was maximising the usable exterior space at the rear of the property. Additional retaining walls were added at the top of the section to allow for new terraced lawn levels. From there a wide set of steps were integrated into the retaining wall, connecting the upper levels to the house level lawn and new decking.
Sculptural landscapes worked with the client, insurance requirements, structural engineers and council building consent officers to get the project completed successfully.
